Theatre Project

Page history last edited by Heather Armstrong 10 years, 6 months ago

Thank you to all who had the opportunity to join us on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at our Carman Collegiate Community Theatre Grand Opening.  Over 200 people came in to enjoy the shows and ribbon cutting.  The theatre is once again the jewel of our Art's community.

At the Ribbon Cutting (left to right) - Jack Phillips, Dennis Young (On Cue Theatre), Karen Tjaden (PRSD Board), Audrey Myers (Sonatrice Singers), Brenda Major (Golden Prairie Arts Council), Garth Shindle.

Please have a tour of our Grand Opening.

Thank you to our performers:  Carman Collegiate Senior Band, the Sonatrice Singers, Carman Collegiate current and alumni drama members for "An Imperfect Proposal", and the Carman Collegiate Alumni Mass Choir.  Also a thank you to our behind the scenes staff and students, who manned the lighting and sound, decorated the halls, made a great selection of appetizers, and captured the moments for you to see here.

Thank you again to our over 320 donors.

Need a reminder of where we started - see below.  Thanks to the generous support of our community and Grant providers (Thomas Sill Foundation, Carman Area Foundation, Farm Credit Canada AgriSpirit Fund), we were able to complete all elements of the theatre renovation.  Check out our donor wall outside of the theatre for a list of all who contributed.  Final costs came in just over $340 000.
