Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters -  Advanced Manufacturing Initiative.

Interested in engineering design and manufacturing?  Carman Collegiate students recently had the opportunity to participate in an exhibition/competition hosted by the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters -  Advanced Manufacturing Initiative.  Students worked as a team to create a radio controlled hovercraft with a robotic arm designed to scoop water from a pond in to a testtube.  Their hovercraft was able to get off the ground and carry four 5-oz. weights. Congratulations to the students who finished in the top 10 teams and will proceed to the next level of competition in March. The students were mentored  by  Carman Collegiate staff members as well as a professional within the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Association.  More Details to follow.  Check out Dare To Compete
